Following a rigorous review of its business and manufacturing processes, Essentium, Inc. has attained ISO 9001:2015 and International Traffic in Arms Regulation certification (ITAR).

The ISO 9001:2015 certification includes the entire Essentium business management system including manufacturing procedures through to supply chain management. It provides customers with the added assurance that all Essentium’s additive manufacturing products, solutions, and services meet the highest quality standards, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

ITAR certification verifies that Essentium is approved to manufacture parts for companies that require ITAR certification and security levels. It also certifies that Essentium adheres to U.S. State Department requirements that control the export and import of defense-related articles, services and technology on the U.S. Munitions List (USML).

Said Blake Teipel, Ph.D., CEO and Co-founder, Essentium: “ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates our commitment to providing AM solutions that meet the most stringent of industry quality benchmarks. Our ITAR certification allows us to serve the aerospace, government, and defense sectors even better. De-risking our solutions through adherence to the highest quality and regulatory standards gives customers increased confidence as they push to achieve new levels of innovation and efficiency for industrial-scale AM.”
